Problems we may encounter!

It's been a long process but have eventually agreed to develop the most recent idea revolving around the child and the closet-shaking monster, already there are issues regarding cast.
We are advised not to use child actors in our student films because of the lengthy, tedious process of finding a young actor and gaining the parents approval. We would also hope that the parents accompany the child during filming (or at least someone older than us who the family know). Adie will be meeting with her drama teacher and one of their young students regarding casting and filming the film soon, until then, we have a few other issues to think about;

Filming in the dark -
Just like my previous project I will once again be filming scenes in the dark, which can prove challenging. Even with a powerful torch only things close to the light were illuminated on the video which made telling the story much more difficult.

Lighting was my number one problem from AS media but i've learnt a lot since encountering so many problems during the first year - torches, although giving very little light, do apply a unique, subtle outline of light to the characters (as shown by the above images). For A2, we may use a floodlight supplied by Adie's dad (who works in archaeology and has access to such lights).

Casting:
Casting has already proved a big problem. Having a child actor complicates things, but being that the child is in no way related to either myself or Adie, we have to arrange our filming dates through the child's parents and drama teacher. This limits the number of days we can film, and also time that we can film. Luckily, with the year drawing to a close, it is already dark around 16:00 PM so we won't need to be filming late to achieve a night-time look.
